Get off the Corporate Plantation.
They dont care about fanbases. They don't care about anything lore wise or otherwise, they only care about the bottom line and if something can get them some sort of profit margin. Or Soap Box to beat upon.
Con Inc makes money complaining and sitting with their thumbs up their butts about woke/sjw interjections everywhere. You want to change things, make it! Draw it! Dream it!
Throwing good money at Dead IPs wont course correct them. They are on the Titanic. The iceburg already hit and they are bleeding out. Its just that some dont notice it yet because of the bandaid of being bought by bigger corporate entities.
Its up to us readers to get the word out on books. Either on blogs, social media, forums ect. We have to form our own search lights. Its why I made this thing in the first place. If CON INC won't to anything but complain then we have to hit them in the stomach (figuratively) and support stuff we enjoy. If we make enough noise maybe eventually things will get more traction.
